Spellings

Below are a copy of the weekly spellings for the children to practice at home.

 

Multiplication Tables Check (MTC)

During the Summer Term, all children in Year 4 will take the Multiplication Tables Check (MTC). This statutory assessment checks that children can fluently recall their multiplication facts up to 12 × 12, with up to six seconds allowed for each question.

Children will spend time in school learning and practising their multiplication tables. However, it is also crucial that they rehearse these regularly at home, which is why times tables practice forms part of their weekly homework.

The school subscribes to TT Rock Stars, an app and website that provides a fun and engaging way for children to practise their multiplication tables and improve their speed and accuracy.
