Safeguarding Statement

Commonswood Primary & Nursery School staff and governors recognise that they have a duty to safeguard and promote the welfare of the children who attend the school. This responsibility necessitates adherence to our child protection policy and procedures, and that the school will keep appropriate records, share and pass on information and work in partnership where there are concerns about a child’s welfare.

Commonswood Primary & Nursery School has a Child Protection Policy which is written in accordance with the Government’s ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ document.

Mrs Seymour is the Designated Senior Lead for Child Protection, Mrs Manning, Miss Dean. Mrs Lindsay-Hill and Mr Burt (esafety) are the Deputy Designated Senior Leads for Child Protection. They will be happy to discuss any questions or concerns parents/carers may have about Child Protection policies and practice.
